J. G. Jones and Liana Kangas Donate Original Pieces to Heritage Auction

In September, we teamed up with the charity Voices of Children to publish Lower Your Sights, a benefit anthology to raise awareness and proceeds for children impacted by war. We are pleased to announce the auction of two original pieces from the graphic novel, graciously donated by celebrated artists JG Jones and Liana Kangas, available for auction on Heritage Auctions.com – with all proceeds going to The Voices of Children Foundation.

The auction will open this Thursday, and closes on November 2nd.

In collaboration with Charlotte Balogh and Gab Contreras, comics artist Liana Kangas’ (TRVE KVLT, Star Wars Adventures) original artwork for the poem Heliotropic will be available for auction here.

Acclaimed comics artist J.G. Jones (Wanted, Final Crisis) has donated the original artwork for Cover B of Lower Your Sights, which will be available for auction here.

“When Jeff reached out and offered to donate his cover to be auctioned for this cause, I read his email in disbelief,” said Mark Irwin, Mad Cave’s Vice President of Business Development. “Not only is Jeff one of the premiere cover artists of our time, but his heart is even bigger than his talent. We’re lucky to have this beautiful piece of art gracing this project, and the world is lucky to have J.G. Jones in it.”

“Anything is worth doing that can help the civilian victims of this utterly unnecessary, devastating war foisted on Ukraine by its belligerent neighbor. I hope the sale of the original cover art can add a few more dollars to help families displaced by the horrors of war,” said J Jones

Voices Of Children: No child should be left with war trauma. This is our mission. With your help, we give psychological and psychosocial support to children who suffered as a result of war operations. It helps them to win the consequences of the war and develop themselves. We also help families to cope with everyday difficulties, treatment and rehabilitation of children, giving individual support. To give children a voice we create video content, and we are also engaged in promoting children rights in order to change the children’s rights protection system in the country. Our objective is that every child who has suffered from the war in Ukraine must get psychological help in time. Our values: respect for a child’s dignity and rights; understanding of the needs of every child to be heard; faith in getting the best results only with the help of partnership and mutual aid. We are working in various villages and towns along the frontline in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
