Can You Help Them Find Their Way? Mad Cave Announces New Horror Series, The Mammoth
There’s high strangeness afoot. Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce THE MAMMOTH, the forthcoming Teen+ series written by the celebrated horror comic creative team Paul Tobin (Plants vs. Zombies) and artist Arjuna Susini (The Bone Tribe); including Cover B by Jessica Fong (Poison Ivy) and special Pride variant by Kevin Wada.
“I wanted horror—and I wanted it BIG!” said Paul Tobin. “Mad Cave gave me a chance to create horror beyond comprehension, with art by my pal Arjuna Susini helping readers tumble into the story along with the characters. This ain’t no ordinary ghost. This thing is mammoth.”
“Drawing this story was a fantastic experience,” said Arjuna Susini. “Thanks to Paul and Mad Cave, I immersed myself with the characters in this abyss of madness, where love, death and the metaphysical meet, leaving a profound trace.”

Synopsis: Something is wrong in the deep forests of Broke Tree Valley. Something deadly. Something mammoth. The legends speak of something larger than human comprehension…A monstrous phantom that disappears for decades at a time. Now, it’s back, and things are about to go Very Bad if four people—Olivia, Jess, Kokoro, and Mason, scientists who have come to the small city of Kasbro to investigate a bizarre series of seismic activities in this heavily forested valley—can’t put the Mammoth to rest. One real problem with this is…Olivia’s dead.

Writer, Paul Tobin
Multi-Eisner Award Winning author of comics and novels such as Bandette, Colder, Plants Vs. Zombies, Prepare To Die, Bunny Mask, and more. Loves bike-riding, burlesque, horror, and trying to remember what he’s doing. Lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Colleen Coover. So far they are tied with Eisner awards. Who will WIN?!
Artist, Arjuna Susini
Arjuna Susini was born in Livorno, Italy, in 1984. He graduated from the International School of Comics in Florence in 2008. In 2011, his first comic, Bullet Ballad, was published by BD Edizioni. Since then he’s worked on a growing number of titles for a myriad of publishers; Mistry P.I., Shikary Force: Hunters, Made Men, Leone, The Replacer, Heist or How to Steal a Planet, Blood of Sunset, Forever Forward, Lamentation, and as a concept artist for Mighty Box on the game Posthuman: Sanctuary. He’s a teacher of the “Scuola internationale di Comics” in Florence.
