Synopsis: Captain Kentaro Washio takes Ken the Eagle on a blistering training run, but then gets a tip that Galactor is building a weaponized “attack city” designed to lure Gatchaman in and kill them all. With Doctor Nambu unaware and no time for backup, Kentaro goes in alone…and crashes straight into Berg Katse’s trap, where even the “citizens” are killer machines. Steve Orlando has written for every major American comic book publisher. His works include the Eisner-Winning LOVE IS LOVE (IDW Publishing), as well as the Eisner-Nominated OUTLAW TERRITORY (Image Comics) and RAINBOW BRIDGE (AfterShock Comics). Outside of comics publishing, Orlando has written for and been featured in HELLO MR as well as NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine. In animation, he worked with Man of Action Studios on the fourth season of BEN 10.
Artist, Riccardo Robaldo
Riccardo Robaldo is an Italian cartoonist with experience as an inker for Skybound Comics, as an illustrator for Asmodee NA and Upper Deck, and as a cover artist for Image Comics, Skybound Comics, Sumerian Comics and other publishers in the independent scene. This is his debut comic book as an illustrator!
For over five decades, Tatsunoko Production’s Gatchaman has stood as a cornerstone of science fiction storytelling, defined by its blend of daring action and human consequence. Gatchaman: Red Impulse expands that legacy by spotlighting the elite pilots who have always been part of the fight.
