We’re Heading to Library Con Live!

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be attending Library Con Live with the newest addition to the Mad Cave family, Papercutz!

Join us on November 17th, 2022 from 10 AM to 5 PM as we explore what 2023 has in store for Mad Cave, Maverick, and Papercutz! Attendees will also have the chance to preview our upcoming original graphic novel, Paper Planes, by Jennie Wood and Dozerdraws.

Paper Planes (OGN)
Writer: Jennie Wood – Artist: Dozerdraws – Letterer: Micah Myers

Synopsis: Leighton Worthington and Dylan Render have always been inseperable, but when they’re both shipped off to a summer camp for troubled youth in the aftermath of a life-altering event, their lifelong friendship is put to the test.
Neither ‘chose’ to be there, but they’ll need a positive evaluation from the camp to avoid being sent away, so they can continue attending high school with their friends. The challenges of camp pushes the once-inseparable Dylan and Leighton onto personal journeys of self-discovery that force them to re-examine the incident that threatens their futures, explore the friendship they have shared for so long, and discover the type of person each of them truly wants to be.

Paper Planes creators Jennie Wood and Dozerdraws will be speaking on Library Con’s Realistic YA Panel with Lesa Cline-Ransome, For Lamb (Holiday House), and Katherine Higgs-Coulthard, Junkyard Dogs (Peachtree)!

John Gurney, the creator of Fuzzy Baseball, Vol. 5 (Papercutz) will be sharing an exclusive Studio Spotlight giving a glimpse into his studio and processes. You can check out his spotlight below!

Library Con Live is a FREE virtual event hosted by School Library Journal that celebrates fandom, spotlighting genre fiction for adults and teens with panels devoted to comics and graphic novels, horror, sf/fantasy, and more.
