This week, Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce, the Pantomime Trade Paperback will be released July 07, 2021! What starts as a new group of friends, evolves into a family of criminals on the hunt for a thrill. Peek into the world of Max, Haley, Kestrel, Harry and Lexi as they plan their next heist. Will they be successful or will they be caught in the act?
“When I started Pantomime, I struggled with how to do a heist story in a world full of them, both real and fictional. It wasn’t the practical concerns of devising ways to rob a place and not get caught, it was about figuring out our characters. And more than that, making them feel as real as any person you’d walk past on the street, living their own secret lives, doing things no one would dream of and still struggling with all the messy stuff that us human. It’s a lot to fit in amongst everything else we’ve done in this book, but in the end, it’s not the elaborate plans I’ll remember most, it’s this group of kids no one ever thought capable of everything they managed to pull off.” – Writer, Christopher Sebela
“I always pitch Pantomime as Ocean’s Eleven meets Oliver Twist, but it’s so much more than just a cool heist movie. Don’t get me wrong – it is that too, and we’ll keep you guessing until the last page is turned – but at its heart our story is about found family and what you can overcome with the people beside you. Haley, Max, and their friends are thrust through trials which make the bonds between them strengthen, shatter, and reform in different ways. Pantomime is an exploration of what it means to define your circle of trust in a way that sees you through just about anything. I’m immensely proud to bring a new level of Deaf representation to comics, and so so thrilled to have pulled this off with our team. Thanks for reading!” – Artist, David Stoll

“The word “bubbles” were going to their HANDS, not their mouths.”
Paul – ThePullBox
“What really stood out about his story is that at no time do any of these kids seem to acknowledge that they’re in any way handicapped or particularly challenged.”
Rebecca Benson- PastramiNation
“I am awed and amazed by Pantomime! I was slightly skeptical at how a reader would be able to read American Sign Language. However, Pantomime delivers!”
EVAN MULLICANE – ScreenRant
“Artist David Stoll imbues each character with a ton of personality based strictly on how they sign.”
PANTOMIME Vol.1 will be available on July 7, 2021 and can be purchased at madcavestudios.com, Comixology, Drive-thru comics, or your local comic book shop.
