Mad Cave Studios is excited to share details of our DICK TRACY publishing program with our retail partners!
The ongoing DICK TRACY comic series by Alex Segura (Secret Identity), Michael Moreci (Barbaric), and Geraldo Borges (Nightwing) is a mature, modern take on the character – a neo-noir, uncompromising thriller that promises to energize the Dick Tracy character in the same way that Casino Royale did for James Bond.
Issue #1 will hit stores on April 24th (with FOC deadlines for March 24th/25th from Lunar/Diamond, respectively).
Issues #1-5 comprise the first complete storyline, with a consistent cover program across all issues that entails:
- Cover A from interior artist Geraldo Borges
- Cover B connecting covers from Brent Schoonover
- 10-Copy Retailer Incentive from Francesco Francavilla
HOWEVER, to launch our debut issue in a BIG WAY, Mad Cave is offering six (6) spectacular #1 cover variants to the Direct Market, shown below.
DICK TRACY #1
While DICK TRACY #1 is featured in Diamond and Lunar’s February catalogs, the subsequent DICK TRACY #2 will next appear in the April catalogs. This solicitation schedule will grant our comic shop partners the ability to evaluate issue #1’s actual sales momentum in their stores in mid-April, weeks before the FOC deadline for issue #2. The series will then ship monthly for the remainder of the year.
