In a brutal primordial world, sometimes the path to change is more terrifying than the predators that hunt you.
Red in tooth and claw, a tribe of cavewomen struggle to survive in a brutal, uncaring world…
Mad Cave Studios proudly presents ONE PATH—a raw, dark fantasy graphic novel by acclaimed artist and writer Greg Broadmore (Conan the Barbarian)—in a visceral exploration of progress versus tradition, the fearsome cost of change, and the primal drive to defy the status quo.

Greg Broadmore is an artist and writer, designing for films such as District 9 and King Kong at Wētā Workshop for 20 years. He created the retro-sci-fi world of Dr. Grordbort’s featuring a myriad of collectibles, a world-touring art exhibition, four books (Triumph, Victory, Onslaught and Dr. Grordbort’s Contrapulatronic Dingus Directory) and most recently built Wētā’s video game division and directed multiple Dr. G video games for Magic Leap. He lives in Wellington, New Zealand aka Aotearoa with his family.
“One Path is a savage and brutal story, one that I felt a deep primal urge to release. In fact I often didn’t really understand where it was coming from as it seemed to tumble out of a deep subconscious, unasked for. It’s a story of raw animal violence, and the grim bleakness of life on the edge of survival, but also of family, and unbreaking love – and ancient traditions that might need breaking… or might not. It is deeply personal to me but hopefully contains truths that many can relate to.
I’ve had the pleasure of working on some of the most incredible films, and helped make some of the most bleeding-edge tech in video games – but for me nothing compares to the power and purity of making comics. It’s the medium I always return to – the one that I feel most creatively liberated in. And this time I had the wisdom and combined super powers of Andy Lanning (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Nick Boshier (Moth Effect) to help me craft it and take it to a level I never could have on my own.
Mad Cave is brave, and maybe a bit crazy (the clues in the name I guess), for taking a risk on what must have looked like an insane vision from the outside. Their love of creators and bold, unique stories makes them the perfect partner for me, and I’m so glad that they chose to give this world of feral cave girls and devouring dinosaurs a cave to live in – a Mad Cave.”
