Everyone Has A Price. Mad Cave Announces New Mystery Thriller, Sanction
Where there is no truth, there can be no justice. Announcing the forthcoming crime & mystery/horror series, SANCTION, written by critically-acclaimed Eisner, Harvey, and Shuster award nominee and YALSA award winner, Ray Fawkes (Batman Eternal, Wolverines, Black Hammer ’45) with art by Antonio Fuso (Wyrd), with colors by Emilio Lecce and letters Dave Sharpe.
Does truth have a price? When a simple murder investigation leads policemen Boris and Pavel down a mystifying rabbit hole, the two are faced with horrifying crimes – and more questions than answers. With each crime more horrifying than the last, they must go even deeper to reveal the truth… But when the stakes are higher than ever, with bureaucratic forces working against them, can they expose the truth before it’s too late?

Synopsis: Leningrad, 1987. When a woman’s corpse is discovered on New Year’s Day, a hungover Detective Pavel Smirnoff hands off the case to his partner, Detective Boris Dimitrovich, hoping he’ll close it without fuss. Instead, Dimitrovich uncovers a connection to an old, unsolved crime, dragging them both into an investigation that puts their careers – and possibly their lives – at risk.

(AfterShock) and more. He is an Eisner, Harvey, and Shuster award nominee and a YALSA award winner.
Ray has been making comics for over 20 years, starting with and continuing the tradition of DIY fiction as well as working for many major comics publishers in the U.S. and Canada.
