Meet the Creators!
Writer, Mark London
Mark London is the CEO & Creative Director of independent publisher Mad Cave Studios, as well as the author of multiple hit series including Battlecats, Hunt. Kill. Repeat., Revolution 9, Hour of the Wolf. His central focus is to provide a compelling experience through action-driven storytelling and immense world building with the goal of giving readers more than just a comic.
“Writing “Exit City” was such a wild ride because it allowed me to explore the intricate complexities of human nature and morality. Delving into the lives of Detectives McCormick and Miller, I was able to create characters that are deeply flawed yet relatable, each grappling with their own secrets and inner demons. The setting of a gritty, crime-ridden city provided a rich backdrop for tension and conflict, enabling me to weave together a narrative filled with unexpected twists and turns. It was thrilling to craft a plot that kept readers on the edge of their seats while also challenging them to ponder the gray areas between good and evil. Themes of betrayal and loyalty are also on display and they resonated with me on a personal level, allowing for a deeper exploration of trust and the choices we make under pressure. Writing about McCormick’s hidden secret added an extra layer of complexity, making the story not just a crime thriller, but also a psychological journey. Ultimately, “Exit City” was a labor of love that combined my passion for storytelling with my fascination for the darker sides of humanity, making it an incredibly rewarding experience. I truly hope readers find as much enjoyment in unraveling the mysteries within its pages as I did in writing them.” – Writer, Mark London
